Hello there! We’re playing not one but TWO shows next week. Friday Feb 20 at Timewarp Records in Venice with Mr Airplane Man and Guilty Hearts, and Saturday Feb 21 at the Chinese New Year celebration on Chung King Road in Chinatown. See the show page for more details.
Hey there! We are getting lots of new folks coming by the site for the first time and we wanted to say hi, and also to let you know what’s what. We have a record. You can buy it on vinyl, or digitally. The vinyl records all come with a code for a free digital download! You can buy it in both those formats from us here, in our SHOP section. We also sell the record at our shows. We’ll be announcing some of those shows soon. If you prefer, you can order the record at your local record store. It’s distributed by Cobraside Distribution. And if it’s haute couture you seek, we are running low on shirts at the moment – L and XL in the webstore. We have a few mediums in the Liza and Warrior shirts, if you’re into those designs, shoot us a message at chewtoysmusic AT gmail.com and we’ll tell you what we have left. We’ll have new shirts for sale at the shows in Feb. Thanks for coming by!!!
Today is a good day. We got a nice write-up over on Towleroad.com too… looky here if you don’t believe us.
The illustrious LA Weekly has called us one of the Fifteen Bands to Watch in 2015. That’s pretty rad. Check out the whole list here! Thanks, LA Weekly.
Awesome and respected music blog Deadly Music highlighted our Leather Sweater video – and also I Hate Xmas. So very nice of them – check out the post here.
Our first ever music video is premiering right now over at CMJ.com! The video was directed by the third Chew Toy, Steve Gidlow, and co-stars Greg as the murderer! Thanks to Eric at CMJ.com for his support. What a fucking champ!
The two limited shirts we did for our last couple of shows are now available for those out of towners and lazyboneses who didn’t come to the shows. This is what happens when you forget a bag of merch behind your amp at a show. Anyways, there aren’t a ton left. There are photos of the colors and sizes over on the Facebook page. Not all sizes are available in both designs. They’re $25 each shipped for US residents and $30 each shipped to our foreign friends. When they’re gone, they’re gone. If you’re interested, message us at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know what you want and we’ll send you an invoice. Thanks!
Thanks to everyone who came to the show at the Eagle yesterday. What a great fucking time we had. Probably the loudest, most violent show we’ve ever played. Hope your ears are done ringing. Ours aint. Also, we are now down to XL only on the album cover shirts, and there’s only five or six left, so if you want one, grab it soon. We are also nearly out of the I Miss Quaaludes shirts, but we will make a few more for out of town folks and we’ll put them on the site soon. We’re shooting some music videos this week, look for updates soon. xoxo
